1. Weather Boost — Your Most Consistent Tool
Weather boost does two things for Shundo hunting: it increases spawn rates of boosted Pokémon AND gives every encounter a minimum IV floor of 4/4/4, which doesn’t improve Shundo odds directly but means you’re checking more of the right Pokémon. Windy weather is your best window for Gible, Bagon, Beldum and Deino. Always check the in-game weather before deciding where to grind.
2. Mass Catching During Events
The Shundo odds don’t change per encounter — so the single most effective strategy is simply increasing the number of encounters. Events that boost spawns of rare Pokémon are your prime windows. During Community Days, the featured Pokémon has a 1-in-25 shiny rate — meaning Shundo odds drop from 1 in 108,000 to roughly 1 in 5,400. 3. Lucky Trades — The Smartest Route
This is the most underrated Shundo method. A Lucky Trade guarantees a minimum IV floor of 10/10/10.
